Photo cagematch, final round!

Shot a few more pictures today. For the life of me I could not find a book that had a pretty inner cover and a well-used date-due slip, so that idea went by the wayside, but here are mockups of four candidates that I have for three slots on the actual calendar. I'll make it a checkbox poll; pick the three you think are most worthy.

Yeah, I went with this shot.

For some reason this just doesn't appeal to me as much as I thought it would. It was a bit dark, so I brightened it up, and it's an interesting bit of the library, so I'd hate to lose it, but...

This was just a random impulse today. The spines of the books were so pretty. Does it work? Is having both it and the row of books in #1 overkill? If so, which should I boot?

This is a really rough mockup and I would definitely re-shoot and re-edit if I were to use it. It's a macro of the "biology of mistletoes" catalog card, and I'd use it for December. The way I'm shooting it, I can't get the whole card; it's proportioned wrong. I could back off a little bit but not much. Or I could tile a bunch of cards, but I suspect that would be less striking. I know this isn't as pretty as some of the others, but it amuses me.

Or, you know, I could drop the less interesting sunset shot, which I'm currently using for the cover. In that case, I'd put another building shot on the cover and use all four of these for inner pages. Comment if you think that's the ideal course of action.

Vote for the three photos that you want to appear in the calendar.
